Samsung Galaxy S2 HD LTE

Samsung Galaxy S2 HD LTE

This is the phone i have now [with I. C.S. upgrade].

– 4.65-inch 720 x 1280 pixel HD Super AMOLED display
– 1.5Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 dual-core SoC w/ Adreno 220 GPU
– 1GB RAM / 16GB internal storage (expandable with microSD slot)
– 8MP back camera with flash / 2MP front camera
– 1080p video capture with image stabilization
– 1850mAh battery
– WiFi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi Direct, GPS, NFC
– 131 x 68.4 x 9.27 mm
– 133g

Its a great phone. The specs are very close to the the Galaxy S3 but less expensive and a nicer form factor imo. I actually like it better than the Galaxy S3. The display is great, great colors and image. The camera is fantastic.

It is an oddball phone as it came out right before the Galaxy S3 and long after the release of the Galaxy S2. It’s an ‘in between’ phone so i was concerned about the support for this model. I have found that most of my favorite games load fine. Some older versions of games don’t load tho. I am guessing that it will load most Galaxy S3 games and apps due to how close the specs are.

The battery life is definitely not as good as my old Atrix 4g

ICS upgrade:

-I really like being able to disable apps that are useless in application options now. A few useless ones came with the phone. Now i can disable them. nice
-I no longer have that wide wallpaper that filled all 5 screens w/ gingerbread. I noticed the Galaxy S2 still has the multi-screen wallpaper with ICS. It might be a Bell specific issue.

-The wallpaper sometimes shows light from behind it, on left side, like its not filling image to the edge now wallpaper is just one screen. It’s a greenish light.

This phone got SCREEN BURN in after 5 months. I am surprised at the issue, as screen burn is NOT common for this phone. I have now replaced this phone thru future shop for new one. Their replacement phone service is great. We shall see how it goes with the new phone.
